Paul Ora Clark!

I thought I would take a minute and write a little about my dad. Through out my life I have always complained about having the same name as my dad, but I have come to be privileged to have the same name as my father. My dad isnt a bigger talker, we never sat down and had heart to heart talks or anything but he showed me by example how to be a great man. I started playing sports year round when I was 6 and from than to my last high school game my dad was at every single game or match that I had. I can only think of 1 wrestling tournament in 5th grade and a 1 bball game my freshman year that my dad was not in attendance. Back then I didn't think much of it but now I realize how privileged I was to have my dad at all my games. He worked so hard so that I could play sports and for that I am so grateful. My dad taught me how to be a great husband. I remember him bringing my mom flowers all the time, something that I have tried to do as well. My dad would bend over backwards for my mom, treating her the way she ought to be treated. My dad taught me how to be a strong and worthy priesthood holder. I will never forget they day when my dad gave me the Melchizedek priesthood. He was always ready to give me a blessing whenever I needed one. A week before my mission just me and my dad went and did a session at the salt lake temple. He was so great to be in the house of the Lord with my father, how grateful I am that he taught me how to worship my savior. Thank you dad for all that you have done for me in my life, you will always be my hero, I love you!

Sadly this is the most recent picture I have with my dad. I'm sure my siblings would agree what a great father we have

This was my dads birthday present to himself, to come hold caleb.

Calebs' first week at home

Well were still alive after a week and half of having a baby. Caleb has been such a joy to have around the house. He is starting to be more awake everyday, yesterday he enjoyed watching tv with me and he would just stare at the tv. Its been hard for me to go to school this past week, I just want to stay home and play with Caleb and Amelia. Its not fair that I have to go to school while Amelia get to be home with the baby. Since I had to work over the weekend Amelia and the baby went to grandmas house so they could get help if they needed it. Friday was my dads 57 birthday, and he told my mom that for his present he wanted to drive in and see Caleb. It was nice of them to drive in and visit,i'm sure caleb enjoyed having new people to hold him. Caleb had some other vistors that day, my friends andrew and megan vera came in to see him. After seeing how cute he was i'm sure they have decided to start their own family. Here are a few pictures of Calebs' first week at home.

Caleb Andrew Clark!!!

Our little boy has finally arrived!!! Amelia began having contractions Thursday night and they continued all day Friday. Around 6pm they started to be regular and by 730 they were coming every 5 minutes and last a minute. We went for a little walk around the block and than decided to get ready for the hospital. We checked in around 945pm, she was dilated to 4cm and was around 90% effaced. Within the hour her contractions were increasing in intensity and she moved up too 5cm. So they took us up to the room where we would delivery and they broke her water. She stayed at a 5 for the next 3 hours, and was in incredible amounts of pain. She wanted so bad to have the birth without medication but the contractions were just to much for her. I thought it was pretty cool to watch them put the epidural in, I had learned all about it in school last semester. Amelia was in heaven once the drugs kicked in. We were both able to take a little power nap. Neither of us could believe what has happening, it seemed like this day was never going to come. At 5 am, an hour after the epidural she was dilated to 9 3/4 cm, they were amazed that she increased so much in just an hour. She began pushing around 6 and are little boy was here at 650 am, on June 5. Amelia did so well with labor, I was really impressed with her. She is so amazing, I never could have done what she did. It was so amazing to watch him come into this world. I had watched videos and they had grossed me out but watching my own son was so beautiful, there was nothing gross about it. He weighed in at 8 lb 6 oz, and was 21 inches long. He has a little bit of blonde hair, but it is hard to see. He is so gosh darn cute, and has been such a good boy. Amelia gave him a binky last night and now he thinks he always has to be sucking on it, he gets mad when its not in his mouth. He has some jaundice so he has this special light on him right now, its more like a wand that he just has to lay on. He does not have an extremely bad case, so hopefully he wont have to use the wand for more than 2 days or so. I want to thank everyone for the support we have received the past few days, it has been greatly appreciated. We'll probably update this more now that we will have exciting things to write about.
We look horrible in these pictures, but that just what happens. I'm sure we will have permanent bags under our eyes for the next few months. Enjoy!
